Debbie, can you detail a bit about what Grandpa Emery World War I action there was?
I have a copy from ancestry.com of his ww1 registration. Did I send it to you?
I know nothing of his service. He and Grandma met after the war I believe. Often Men don’t want to talk about the horrors they experienced. As far as the Government records: many records we destroyed in a fire after ww2 as we found out when seeking records for George’s father who was in ww2. There is a form to fill out for a request. I don’t remember the site. I will post the census from 1900, 1910, 1930, ww1 and ww2 registrations.
