Alright, I’ve been too lax with this site. I keep it going, but hadn’t logged in since 2014 or so.
I’m trying to get some things a bit more organized at home, and then I’ll be trying to get some things scanned FINALLY!
One easy peasey scanning method is using a modern Android phone. Google Photos app has a “scanning app” add-on, it’s useful to a degree, but my phone, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, is more useful as a “take a photo of a photo” for better results and even more simply done.
Current photos that I take: I used to use Camera’s more, now I use my good old Samsung phone, it’s the best light camera I have. I do have a Sony Cybershot p&s, and a Canon EOS 7D which is very heavy.
Photos on Google Photos from my phone, uploaded in same resolution but smaller mb size are unlimited uploads. Full uploads take up space.
Here’s one from my Google Photos I took the other day:

Date Taken: May 29, 2017
Google Photos added benefit, all things I scan or take a photo of are in the Cloud instantly.
I had a Flickr Pro sub. for years, and this year canceled it, I hadn’t hardly uploaded anything there the last few years. I find Google Photos more useful for me, and no one else looks at my photos much anyway.
Verizon is buying Yahoo, so I don’t want to use Flickr any more for just that reason, but my lack of using the site anyway, and it feeling way past its prime this decade, I had an easy decision.
