It looks like a beautifully decorated tree, but the tree is so dark I can’t really see the crochet work. The crocheted popcorn chain must have been a drudgery type job though it looks amazing. What color is it and what kind of string did you use? We havn’t had a Christmas tree for 2 years. We did have an awful fake one that we finally threw out. I spend so much on gifts for the 8 or 9 of my family members and I don’t have the stomach to spend another $100.00 on a tree. Most years I say that we will buy a half priced one after Christmas but we haven’t done that yet.

Now I can see the red balls but the crochet doesn’t look clear. It looks like it is spiraled on a string. Is that it? Do you have a small sample picture you can upload?

Nice project! I do though, with my daughter, make a popcorn/cranberry string for the tree.
I guess if I crocheted I might be tempted, but I don’t crochet (did when I was small, find it interesting but I’d rather sew clothing or cross-stitch, if I found the time and motivation … )
