The Willpower Parodox: Scientific American Mind August 2010 edition

I just got done reading this magazine today and I found this article on willpower and motivation to be very interesting.  I thought all of you would gain some useful information from it as well. It is only 2 pages. By clicking on the picture it will open it to full sized view in a new window. You many want to print it if you have a hard time reading it in a browser.

Dear Sisters did any of you read this article? If so what do you think of the application? It is a nuanced approach. It makes you think about how to use it for yourself or others in your family like your children or your husband.

I have personally found that general themes and ideas may not spark any inspiration but taking a general idea and listing specifics from it can create inspiration or click something in your head that says, “I can do that”. The “that” is the specific that you list. Writing down a list of things also makes it easier to spot a good or bad idea. I think that this gives the same result as this article delineates. What do you think?
